Distance learning is a beautiful conceived pattern of non-conventional mode of study. It is geared towards gaining relevant qualifications. It is now a widely accepted and approved method of education fully supported by employers in private, public and Government sectors. Distance learning is a "learner centered" system though it offers a positive and flexible alternative to campus education. It allows students to start a course anytime determining their own pace without interruption at home, workplace , while traveling and at their convenience. In this, the students and institute together share the responsibility for the completion of the student's educational goals. The student is provided with necessary direction, guidance and assistance by a remote methodology.
 
The important feature of distance learning is that it is flexible. It allows a student the opportunity to choose when, where, how and at what pace he/she can find it convenient to study. The student will be provided Course material once he/she completes the admission process and is ready to start the Program. These study materials are specifically prepared for Distance Learning students by the university / College / University extension centre.
